Welcome to my new blog 'JUST ONE GRAIN'.
This is the blog I am using to create interest in my latest book, "2000+ Uses for a Grain of Sand". In the book I encourage people to focus on what they CAN DO, instead of what they can't do. I encourage people to see beyond their circumstances and look for more options....because there's always more options!
When you look at a grain of sand, one solitary grain of sand; you might view it as being insignificant and even useless. This is certainly what I was thinking as I pondered the question, "What uses could there possibly be for a grain of sand?" What I discovered was truly amazing.....but first, let me tell you how it all began.
How it all Started
About two years ago I attended a seminar in which attendees were asked to brainstorm the uses for a bottle of water. Our small group of 4 people came up with a creative list of about 40 things a bottle of water could be used for. After the seminar I was conducting one of my own training events and got participants to do a similar activity, except I had a much greater challenge. "Brainstorm the uses for a grain of sand, just one grain." The group only came up with a list of half a dozen uses. Later that evening I took on the challenge myself, and came up with a list of around 30 uses. I was truly surprised. Since then my own personal list has grown to over 500 uses for a single grain of sand!! ....and I have also received ideas from people all around the world.
Follow my journey and be enlightened with amazing insights of how useful a single grain of sand can actually be. My hope is that through this blog I can encourage you with the thought that no matter how insignificant and small you might feel, you have all the talent and resources you need to fulfill your God-given destiny. What can I do? what can I do? what can I do? I know! I can turn this grain of sand into a pearl! :) (before someone decides to make concrete out of it!)
